A federated model is only useful if clashes are resolved by people, not filed as reports. How we run coordination weekly instead of quarterly.
Most projects own a model. Fewer use it. The difference is cadence: a federated model reviewed weekly with architecture, structure and MEP in the same room resolves problems while they are still cheap to move.
We run clash detection in tight cycles, classify results by consequence rather than count, and close items against named owners. A report with two thousand clashes tells you nothing; forty resolved decisions with a signed rationale tells you the building can be built.
By construction documentation, the model carries quantities that match the bill and a coordination history a contractor can trust. That trust is what removes weeks from the site programme.
